The Jane Froman Collection consists of recordings of performances and interviews of Jane Froman. Researchers may also want to see a collection of Froman's personal papers The Jane Froman Collection consists of recordings of performances and interviews of Jane Froman. It is comprised of several different recording formats including audio cassettes, long playing records, video cassettes, and compact discs. The collection is arranged by type of material. The recordings include the soundtracks of the musical Pal Joey, and With A Song In My Heart. Included as well are audio and video recordings of U.S.A. Canteen and the Jane Froman Show. A number of the audio cassettes are copies which were privately produced by fans of Jane Froman. Some of these audio cassettes do not have an index of songs listed. An interview of Jane Froman by Robert Lewis is present also. An index of the songs found in the collection follows this inventory.

Ellen Jane Froman, American actress and singer, was born on 10 November 1907 in St. Louis, Missouri. Froman graduated in 1926 from Christian College, in Columbia, Missouri with an associate degree in French and then attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Froman did not graduate but went to Cincinnati to study voice at the Conservatory of Music from 1928 to 1930. Before graduation Froman broke into radio singing and doing commercials.
